Above and Beyond: The Power at Work Within Us

Scripture:
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”Ephesians 3:20–21

Have you ever paused to consider the kind of God you serve?

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that we are not limited by our circumstances, by our past, or even by our wildest imagination. We serve a God who is able—not just barely, not just enough, but exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think. This verse isn’t just poetic encouragement. It’s a heaven-backed promise.

But here’s the part we often miss: "according to the power that works in us."

God isn’t working from afar. His power, resurrection power, is already within you through the Holy Spirit. That means the breakthrough you’re waiting for, the healing you’re praying for, the provision you’re believing for is not coming from the outside in. It’s activated from the inside out.

Reflect:

  • Are you praying small prayers when God is calling you to believe for more?

  • Are you limiting what God can do in your life based on what you think you deserve?

  • Have you forgotten that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you?

Encouragement:

You are not just hoping for a miracle. You are the vessel of the Miracle Worker.

So dream big. Ask boldly. Trust deeply. God is not intimidated by your needs or your vision. In fact, He's already prepared answers and outcomes that exceed what you’re imagining right now.

Today, align your heart with heaven’s perspective. Stir up the power within you through prayer, worship, and bold faith. God’s not just going to meet your expectations. He’s going to blow past them.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for being a God who does exceedingly and abundantly more than I could ever ask or think. Remind me that Your power is at work within me, not someday, but right now. Teach me to trust, to ask boldly, and to live as someone filled with Your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.
